The San Diego Velodrome Association offers a variety of programs for its members and the community.  In addition to weekly track races, there are classes, community events, and seasonal swap meets.

The velodrome is open to recreational riders as well as competitive riders.  Check the events calendar for appropriate recreational times.  Recreational riders that do not belong to the San Diego Velodrome Association should note that the gate around the velodrome is usually locked with the exception of Saturdays from 9-12pm when track stewards are present.

Recreation sessions are meant to be non-competitive and are open to all riders on road or track bikes. All non-members must sign a waiver to ride.  Everyone must where a helmet while riding and ABSOLUTELY no motor-pacing, coaching or competitive riding/training is allowed.

Open track sessions are when the track is available for member usage.  Coaching and club groups may also be using the track during open sessions.  Members who prefer to avoid group training should keep this in mind.  These sessions are not exclusive and members are welcome to ride during these times.

Velodrome rules and regulations apply during all track sessions regardless of its use.  For more information about the San Diego Velodrome's rules and regulations, click here.
