Tuesday night Racing is scheduled to begin the first Tuesday in April. More details coming soon! Racing starts at 6:30 PM and racing is only $5 for velodrome members/$10 for non-members. No racing license is required, and races are broken down by category: C- Beginners B - Kinda Fast A - Really Fast Racers are self categorized. but the officials and the SDVA reserve the right to restrict the categories and riders at their sole discretion. All racers must have completed the beginning track class, or have proof of prior velodrome experience. Racer registration closes 45 minutes prior to race start. Admission is free and open to spectators.
The San Diego Velodrome hosts a wide variety of races throughout the year. In addition to our seasonal Tuesday Night Races, there are several USCF sanctioned events including Thursday Night Race Series, the California Masters State Championships and the Arizona Track Riding Series.
The local community also uses the velodrome for rollerblading races, youth bicycle tournaments, and the San Diego Area Senior Olympics.
