Coach Lee Povey has been riding bikes since he was 3 and started racing at 13. He first started coaching local riders when he was 20 and was surprised at the difference he could make with a little knowledge and some common sense.
He loves his work and is driven by doing the best he can for the riders he coaches. He finds nothing more fulfilling than helping others achieve their aims, however challenging. Like all PCC coaches, Lee continually works on his knowledge, staying up to date on the very latest in training, nutritional, physiological and recovery advances.
He has coached a number of World, European and National Champions in all disciplines from road to track endurance and track sprint, and has sprint the last two years as the USA Cycling Olympic Development Sprint Coach. He has built a reputation for discovering new talent, and for an honest and mentoring approach.
