Membership & Benefits
Riders are encouraged to become a member of the San Diego Velodrome Association to promote the sport of track racing for themselves, their family and friends, and the public. The San Diego Velodrome Association is a 501(3)(c) non-profit dedicated to the maintenance and operation of the velodrome and the promotion of track cycling. Your membership makes this possible.
SDVA Members enjoy several benefits including:
24-hour access to the track and facility via gate combos
Access to Open Training sessions
Access to Members-Only Workouts and group training
Discounts at Advanced Classes
Access to Member-Only Parking close to the velodrome for easy unloading
Your membership is critical to keep this facility operational and to continue the many enrichment programs available. It takes a great deal of member support (financial and volunteer time) to keep the track open, rideable, and raceable. Your membership dues go towards upkeep and repairs to the track, infield, bleachers and spectating areas, loaner bikes, storage containers, insurance, trash collection, porto potty rental, landscaping, and numerous other expenses. We depend on your support to keep the velodrome functioning!
To be considered for membership you must either complete the LEVEL 1 Introductory Class, or be Safety Certified by a SDVA approved coach, or have demonstrable experience on another velodrome (USAC license or reference from an ATRA track). If you would like to support the velodrome without learning to ride the track, please consider donating. Thank you for your support!
